Public Transportation

Public Transportation is available to anyone needing the service.  Four County offers public transportation 5 days a week from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm.

There will be NO public transit services provided on the following holidays for 2007:

New Years Day (January 1st)

Memorial Day (May 28th)
Independence Day Observed (July 4th)
Labor Day (September 3rd)
Thanksgiving Observed (November 22nd & 23rd)
Christmas Observed (December 24th & 25th)

Eligibility Guidelines

Riders still need to call at least 24 hours in advance to schedule their trip.

Is there a cost involved?

The cost involved in public transit is $1.00 per one way trip.  For example, if you call and need a trip to Wal-Mart and then back to your home, the cost would be $2.00.  The easy way to think about it is to say that you contribute $1.00 each time you get onto the vehicle.

How do I schedule a ride?

Call Four County Transit at 276/963-1486 or 1-888-656-2272 or complete the rider request form online.  Remember, you need to schedule at least 24 hours in advance to ensure that there is a driver in your area to get you where you need to be.
