Congregate Nutrition Senior Sites

Congregate site transportation.

Four County Transit provides transportation to and from the eight congregate nutrition sites operated by Appalachian Agency for Senior Citizens. These sites are located in Clinchco, Clintwood, Dante, Grundy, Pocahontas, Richlands, Swords Creek, and Tazewell.

Currently the sites operate two days per week. These are considered regular site dates and do not require a scheduling call. However, if you know you will not be riding on a certain date, please do call Four County Transit prior to that date to let us know.

Sites may also request transportation services for club dates. Travel beyond normal site operation may incur fees. Please speak to a Four County Transit coordinator if your site needs transportation for an outing.

Eligibility requirements.

To be eligible for nutrition site transportation, an individual must be an active participant at the congregate site. Call a Four County Transit coordinator to see if you live within the van’s traveling distance to the site. If you do, our coordinator will add you to the site’s list.

Is there a transportation fee?

Congregate site participants do not pay a fee to ride Four County Transit to the site on their regularly scheduled operating days.
