Veteran Transportation
Now offering veterans’
transportation to two nearby VA hospitals at no charge to the veteran.
We currently only offer this service to clients in the counties of
Russell and Tazewell.
Riders may call 963-1486 (or 1-888-656-2272) and leave a message with
pick-up request, and may also call this number to cancel a scheduled
pick-up. After automated greeting, press 3 to leave a request for
pick-up or cancellation. A dispatcher will return your call to confirm,
and to provide pick-up time and details.
We request a one-week notice for trip requests, and the deadline is 12
noon on Wednesdays.
Veteran Van Schedule:
Tuesdays: Salem VA Medical Center, 1970 Roanoke Blvd., Salem, VA 24153
Thursdays: Mountain Home VA, 809 Lamont St & Veterans Way, Johnson City,
TN 37604
We drop off at each VA Hospital by 10:00am, and pick back up to depart
at 3:00pm.
Riders need to ensure their appointments are no earlier than 10:00am,
and that they are completed by 3:00pm.
